About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Designing, building and operating on-premises infrastructures (private cloud, KVM) with a high level of protection and ensuring stable, uninterrupted system operation
- Securing the deployed technology stack through appropriate security measures and hardening
- Monitoring supported services to meet agreed system availability and to proactively identify and resolve or prevent faults
- Developing and implementing best-practice guidelines within the area of responsibility
- Providing and adapting environments for testing and integrating new or updated products and technologies
- Automating all tasks using orchestration and configuration tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed IT vocational training (e.g., Fachinformatiker), a degree in computer science, or equivalent professional experience
- Professional experience with secure virtualized infrastructures and common virtualization solutions, and solid knowledge of private cloud technologies, Kubernetes, OpenStack, CI/CD pipelines and GitLab
- Hands-on experience in provisioning and operating Linux systems as well as supporting infrastructure and application monitoring solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., Ansible), experience in regulated environments, and LPIC certification desirable
- Team player, openness to new technologies and projects, and enthusiasm for using open-source tools
