About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, deployment and operation of on-premises Kubernetes environments
  • Automation of infrastructure processes using IaC tools
  • Development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitoring, logging and alerting for the platform
  • Ensuring high availability, scalability and resilience of the container platform
  • Integration of new services and microservices
  • Troubleshooting and performance optimization
  • Implementation of security measures such as RBAC, secrets management, network policies, image scanning
  • Integration and operation of bare-metal storage solutions for Kubernetes
  • Management of CSI drivers and distributed storage systems
  • Lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters and related system components
  • Close collaboration with development teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience operating Kubernetes on-premises (not solely managed cloud environments)
  • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, containerd or CRI-O
  • Experience with service mesh technologies
  • Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with monitoring and observability
  • Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, RHEL, SLES or similar)
  • Scripting/automation skills (Bash; Python, Go are a plus)
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • High-availability and cluster design experience
  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, load balancing, Ingress, firewalls, DNS)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience working in regulated environments
  • Experience with storage systems in Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of GitOps or configuration automation
  • Certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) are a plus
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility operating critical systems
  • Openness to new technologies and projects
  • Enthusiasm for using open-source tools
