About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors regarding project risk, timetables, costs, budgets, and change management
  • Determine project scope, deliverables, staffing requirements, work plans, and phase schedules
  • Prepare project manuals, work category descriptions, and bid package components
  • Manage the construction management bid process and post-bid reviews
  • Serve on hard bid teams as needed
  • Establish project goals for schedule, safety, accounting, labor relations, EEO, and reporting
  • Assess and maintain client relationships from contract initiation through the project warranty period
  • Manage owner communications concerning project risks, schedules, budgets, and logistics
  • Coordinate estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and reporting with the Project Planning Leader
  • Oversee processing of contract documents, bulletins, field work orders, and change orders
  • Review client needs against contractual obligations and oversee professional management services delivered by project teams and contractors
  • Establish subcontract agreements and trade contractor work scopes
  • Clarify expectations through project documents, presentations, and project meetings
  • Lead trade contractor relations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related job field
  • Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Successful completion of classes or other training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including drug and background screening
