About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure Christman is represented on-site every day work is being performed
  • Lead construction activities within occupied healthcare facilities while prioritizing patient safety
  • Review conceptual, schematic, and design development documents for constructability
  • Develop and execute detailed project phasing plans
  • Implement and enforce project-specific safety programs
  • Conduct site safety orientations for all personnel
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA standards
  • Plan and coordinate site logistics
  • Partner with the Project Manager, client representatives, designers, and trade contractors
  • Coordinate utility shutdowns and critical infrastructure work
  • Oversee technical interpretation of construction documents
  • Facilitate pre-installation meetings with trade contractors
  • Maintain rolling punch lists while ensuring high-quality finishes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role as a Foreman or Superintendent
  • Demonstrated experience managing healthcare construction projects, including renovations within occupied hospitals
  • Experience coordinating construction activities around active patient care environments
  • Knowledge of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), and healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Successful completion of coursework or training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Microsoft Project
