About the role
- Conduct basic research as part of the CHASE team focusing on coupling multiple molecular catalysts through cascade catalysis to generate liquid fuels from carbon dioxide
- Work collaboratively with scientists from the Artificial Photosynthesis (AP) group
- Supervised by CHASE principal investigators
Requirements
- Ph. D. in theoretical or physical chemistry, or a related field
- Extensive experience in computational modeling of homogeneous catalysis of small molecule activation
- Experience in density functional theory applications to transition-metal containing molecular complexes
- Familiarity with hybrid quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) methods
- Experience in applications of data science/machine learning for predictive modeling of catalysis
