About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Open Mainframe Solutions and Initiatives
- Serve as the primary intermediary between market/business requirements and R&D
- Partner with Product Owners and Architecture teams to prioritize features and explore new opportunities
- Proactively identify and remove roadblocks across cross-functional teams
- Lead Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives to drive product adoption
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and software service providers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 12+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or enterprise software development
- Deep understanding of the mainframe software industry, Open Source projects, community initiatives, and current transformation trends.
- Deep understanding of software solutions built on open technologies like Linux, GIT, Python and others.
- Advanced understanding of B2B business models, software licensing, and product delivery.
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional, and cross-disciplinary projects, with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of successful executive-level presentations.
