About the role

  • Provide engineering support for constructing a new semiconductor fabrication plant.
  • Liaise with external contractors and infrastructure team.
  • Manage plant construction timelines and ensure compliance.
  • Lead Testing & Commissioning of facility mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with Process, Equipment & Production Engineering Teams.
  • Responsible for layout planning, logistics, setup, and compliance management.
  • Monitor utility capacity and plan for future expansion.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for facilities infrastructure and provide technical oversight.
  • Lead site expansion and upgrades in utilities and Life Safety systems.
  • Provide call-back support for complex facilities issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in facilities engineering, focusing on construction, commissioning, and operations (semiconductor/high-tech environment).
  • Hands-on competency is an added advantage.
  • Technical leadership expertise in managing complex utility systems, including FMS, Life Safety System, HVAC, electrical distribution, process cooling water (PCW), DI water generation, and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Proven experience ensuring regulatory compliance with local authorities (PUB, NEA, SCDF).
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with layout planning using AutoCAD or similar software required.
