About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the evolution, stability and performance of the e-commerce platform through the development and maintenance of backend solutions in Magento.
- Collaborate to continuously improve code quality and infrastructure.
- Support the platform in production, working on bug fixes and performance improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, receiving and applying technical feedback.
- Contribute to existing integrations (ERPs, custom payment methods, anti-fraud) under technical guidance.
- Work on CI/CD pipelines: builds, deployments, automations and environment troubleshooting.
- Support configuration and maintenance of environments (staging, production), containers and infrastructure services.
- Diagnose infrastructure and application incidents (indexers, OpenSearch, cache, queues, PHP-FPM, Nginx) with team support.
- Monitor the platform via Grafana and Sentry, identifying alerts and suspicious patterns.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience with Magento 2, Adobe Commerce and/or Magento Community.
- Strong command of modern PHP (8.x), best practices, design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs in the Magento context.
- Experience with MySQL/MariaDB, Redis and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
- Experience with Docker and container-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or similar).
- Familiarity with Linux administration, Nginx and PHP-FPM.
- Proficiency with Git, branching workflows and code review practices.
- Nice to have: knowledge of observability tools (Grafana, Sentry, structured logging).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ and asynchronous queue processing.
- Awareness of e-commerce security practices (OWASP Top 10, hardening).
- Experience with automations and integrations (n8n, Zapier or similar).
- Experience working in high-transaction-volume environments.
