About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Laravel and Node.js
- Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React
- Optimize application performance and scalability
- Ensure secure coding practices and data protection
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS and/or GCP
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and analytics function
- Participate in code reviews and agile development processes
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Document technical specifications and maintain codebase hygiene
- Support analytics/data applications and contribute to analytics implementation (data layer/tagging)
Requirements
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Hybrid/Onsite: Preferable onsite. Open for Hybrid too
- Strong experience in both backend and frontend development
- Proficiency in PHP (Laravel)
- Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js, React)
- Familiarity with AWS and GCP cloud platforms
- Experience in analytics engineering or supporting analytics/data applications
- Understanding of Tag Management Systems and server-side tagging principles
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Bonus: Experience with AI/ML technologies or frameworks
