About the role
- Design and implement robust services using Node.js to support health insurance applications.
- Integrate and manage Amazon Connect for intelligent contact center solutions, including IVR flows, Lambda integrations, and real-time analytics.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architecture on AWS using services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, DevOps, and front-end developers to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data protection standards.
- Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems handling high volumes of sensitive health data.
- Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote best practices in software engineering.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in health tech and cloud computing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience with AWS services, especially Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect, including contact flows, integrations, and analytics.
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR) and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2, JWT).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
