About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing technical operation of enterprise PeopleSoft environments.
Own the technical backbone of the PeopleSoft platform — including PeopleTools upgrades, image applications, security configurations, search server operations, and integration with cloud and middleware platforms.
Work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions.
Raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of junior engineers.
Install, configure, and operate PeopleSoft environments across development, test, training, and production.
Lead PeopleTools upgrades, PUM image applications, and patch deployments.
Manage application servers, process schedulers, web servers (WebLogic), and the integration broker gateway.
Administer Elasticsearch / OpenSearch deployments supporting PeopleSoft search.
Perform PeopleSoft system copies, refreshes, and clones across environments.
Implement and tune database connectivity, including Oracle Database administration tasks in partnership with DBA teams.
Configure PeopleSoft security at the application, web, and infrastructure layers.
Operate PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling.
Design and operate HA/DR strategies for PeopleSoft environments.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Five or more years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experience.
Hands-on experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM).
Strong experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler servers.
Experience administering Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft.
Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration.
Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting experience.
Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling.
Experience operating HA/DR for PeopleSoft.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
