About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing technical operation of enterprise PeopleSoft environments.
- Own the technical backbone of the PeopleSoft platform — including PeopleTools upgrades, image applications, security configurations, search server operations, and integration with cloud and middleware platforms.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions.
- Raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of junior engineers.
- Install, configure, and operate PeopleSoft environments across development, test, training, and production.
- Lead PeopleTools upgrades, PUM image applications, and patch deployments.
- Manage application servers, process schedulers, web servers (WebLogic), and the integration broker gateway.
- Administer Elasticsearch / OpenSearch deployments supporting PeopleSoft search.
- Perform PeopleSoft system copies, refreshes, and clones across environments.
- Implement and tune database connectivity, including Oracle Database administration tasks in partnership with DBA teams.
- Configure PeopleSoft security at the application, web, and infrastructure layers.
- Operate PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling.
- Design and operate HA/DR strategies for PeopleSoft environments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Five or more years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM).
- Strong experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler servers.
- Experience administering Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration.
- Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting experience.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling.
- Experience operating HA/DR for PeopleSoft.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
