Maintain and manage mainframe z/OS infrastructure, including installation, customization, storage, hardware configuration, networking, performance management, and capacity planning
Perform SMP/E operations and advanced change control in regulated environments
Debugging, tuning, and creation of detailed documentation of procedures and practices
Develop, document, and deliver pre- and post-implementation impacts of zSeries hardware and software
Facilitate deployment of infrastructure tools/services; lead solution development and maintain templates, playbooks and automation
Provide technical direction, education, and mentoring to programmers, analysts and technical support associates
Participate in on-call 24x7 support within team rotation
Identify improvements to reduce recurring issues and mean time to recovery
Requirements
Experience in one or more of z/OS installation and customization, storage management, hardware configuration, networking, performance management and capacity planning
Advanced or expert level SMP/E experience
Debugging and tuning experience
Creation of detailed documentation of procedures and practices
Change control in a regulated environment
Develop, document, and deliver pre- and post-implementation impacts of zSeries hardware and software
Ability to recognize areas of improvement to eliminate recurring issues and reduce mean time to recovery
Provide technical direction and education to programmers, analysts and technical support associates
Mentoring skills and experience (mentoring is required/desired)
Must be able to complete work on time in an ever-changing and complex environment and take direction from leaders and managers
Ability and willingness to be a team player
Provides 24x7 on call support within a team rotation
