Requirements

  • Proficiency in COBOL (experience with IBM COBOL or Micro Focus COBOL a plus)
  • Expertise in JCL (Job Control Language)
  • Familiarity with REXX scripting language
  • Strong experience with DB2 (SQL, database design, performance tuning)
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and design technical solutions
  • Experience writing and testing mainframe code; debugging and performance optimization
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
  • Experience collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
  • Participation in code reviews and staying up-to-date on mainframe technologies
