About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gain immediate hands-on experience handling a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more.
- Handle every aspect of cases including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial.
- Work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations.
- Collaborate closely with team members and have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced partners.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment. (****Newly licensed attorneys welcome to apply****)
- Skilled in conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, as well as interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel.
- Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and attending mediations, preferred. Trial experience is a plus!
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills along with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
- Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Current admission to the California State Bar is required.
