About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage medium-to-large scale, complex projects simultaneously from initiation through closeout
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Proactively manage project risks, identify challenges, and implement mitigation strategies
- Contribute to Bravo17’s project management processes, methodologies, and standards
- Build, motivate, and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary project teams
- Develop and mentor junior team members
- Foster excellence and continuous learning within program management while prioritizing employee well-being
- Manage stakeholders and build trust-based partnerships with clients and federal agencies
- Communicate project plans, metrics, and results to senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Use data to drive team performance
- Ensure deliverables prioritize user experience and map to measurable mission outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in project management or program management roles
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance required
- Proven track record leading, managing, and delivering medium-to-large scale projects on time and within budget
- Direct experience managing project budgets and resources effectively
- Willingness to contribute to Bravo17's internal program management methodologies and standards
- Ability to leverage existing templates, methodologies, and best practices
- Strongly preferred: experience managing digital products, applications, system design, or IT optimization projects within a federal or defense environment
- Strongly preferred: background working closely with cross-functional technical teams including software engineers, UX designers, and data analysts
- Comfort operating without excessive structure and creating clarity in ambiguous environments
- Ability to lead research and design with minimal oversight
- Confident communication with senior federal stakeholders
- Ability to defend design decisions with data and rationale
- Adaptability when priorities shift
- Commitment to quality and usability in complex systems
