About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor the caseload of civil, labor, tax and regulatory litigation, taking into account the nature and particularities of the business;
- Review initial petitions, defenses, appeals and other procedural documents prepared by external law firms;
- Define litigation strategies together with external firms, aligning legal decisions with the company's objectives;
- Monitor deadlines, hearings, expert examinations and other relevant procedural acts;
- Assess procedural risks and their financial, operational and reputational impacts;
- Propose alternatives to mitigate contingencies and prevent disputes;
- Advise internal departments on risks arising from lawsuits and potential disputes;
- Prepare legal opinions and analyses related to existing or potential conflicts;
- Participate in strategic discussions on contentious matters;
- Support negotiations aimed at preventing and resolving disputes;
- Conduct negotiations to reach judicial and extrajudicial settlements;
- Organize and analyze large volumes of legal information and documents;
- Identify risks and opportunities related to the matters under your responsibility.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree with active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
- Knowledge of Civil Procedure and familiarity with labor, tax and regulatory matters;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Familiarity with legal case management systems and electronic court platforms;
- Ability to analyze procedural documents, records and large volumes of information;
- Ability to evaluate risks and financial, operational and reputational impacts;
- Align legal decisions with the company's objectives and business needs.
