About the role
- Support the analysis, design, and documentation of electrical systems for complex building projects.
- Assist with power distribution, lighting, and essential electrical systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Apply sound engineering fundamentals to support system performance, reliability, and constructability.
- Participate in construction administration activities and coordination with contractors and design partners.
- Support building technology scopes such as controls coordination, low voltage systems, and technology enabled building infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project teams to help integrate electrical systems with building automation, controls, and data driven systems.
- Assist in evaluating how emerging technologies and tools can support building performance and operations.
- Support electrification related efforts such as load analysis, infrastructure readiness, and future proofing electrical systems.
- Assist senior engineers with early stage studies and option analysis related to energy systems and building performance.
- Contribute to decarbonization efforts as part of a broader, multidisciplinary team.
- Work closely with mechanical engineers, building scientists, architects, and other disciplines in a collaborative team environment.
- Develop clear technical documentation and contribute to client deliverables.
- Learn from senior engineers and actively pursue growth in both electrical engineering and building technology.
- Stay current with evolving codes, tools, and best practices related to electrical systems and building technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- 0 to 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, building systems, or related technical roles.
- FE, EIT, or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain licensure.
- Foundational understanding of electrical building systems and codes.
- Strong interest in building technology, systems integration, and modern electrical infrastructure.
