About the role

  • We are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) for construction and infrastructure projects to start as soon as possible.
  • In this central role, you will be primarily responsible for procurement and supplier management for large, long-term projects.
  • Your focus will be on developing and implementing sustainable procurement strategies.
  • Management: You will manage the supplier portfolio, develop supplier strategies and align them with critical requirements.
  • Responsibility: You will be responsible for evaluating and classifying suppliers as well as leading price and contract negotiations.
  • Process optimization: You will develop and revise procurement policies and ensure their compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, (Industrial) Engineering, Public Administration or a comparable field with a commercial or technical focus.
  • Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the construction and infrastructure sector.
  • Knowledge of project management, process optimization, negotiation techniques and EU procurement law, as well as experience using IT solutions in procurement.
  • Very good German and English language skills, high commitment, empathy and team leadership capability.
  • Willingness to travel of approximately 3 days per week.
