About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts
  • Manage discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case materials
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts
  • Track and record billable hours in accordance with firm guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings
  • Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Must meet billing goal expectations
