Litigation Paralegal
Boyd & Jenerette, P.A.Paralegal supporting litigation processes for insurance defense law firm Boyd & Jenerette. Drafting legal documents, managing case files, and assisting attorneys in a hybrid work environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
- Manage discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents.
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case materials.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Track and record billable hours in accordance with firm guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings.
- Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Must meet billing goal expectations.
