About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Project managers will be assigned projects that range from replacing a breaker at a substation to an entirely new substation and/or transmission line upgrades
  • Typical substation projects may be breaker replacement, cap bank heaters, bus work, transformer replacement, control house rehab or replacement, extending a substation yard, or a new substation
  • Typical transmission line projects may be replacing insulators, replacing the OPGW, adding circuits, or a new transmission line
  • Project managers may also be assigned transmission line routing studies
  • The client will provide all of the necessary training for both the project management system that is utilized and all of the mandated client safety training and FERC training
  • Project managers shall attend meetings at the client’s Morristown office
  • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
  • Site and Office Meetings as needed for Project oversight and client engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree in Electrical or other Engineering is highly preferred
  • Formal project management (PMP) training and/ or Certification
  • At least five (5) years of project management experience over major capital electric utilities construction projects (substation, transmission and/ or distribution)
  • Telecommunications Project Management experience is welcome if this includes managing/ overseeing major electric utility projects involving substation and/ or transmission line projects.
