About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Project managers will be assigned projects that range from replacing a breaker at a substation to an entirely new substation and/or transmission line upgrades
Typical substation projects may be breaker replacement, cap bank heaters, bus work, transformer replacement, control house rehab or replacement, extending a substation yard, or a new substation
Typical transmission line projects may be replacing insulators, replacing the OPGW, adding circuits, or a new transmission line
Project managers may also be assigned transmission line routing studies
The client will provide all of the necessary training for both the project management system that is utilized and all of the mandated client safety training and FERC training
Project managers shall attend meetings at the client’s Morristown office
Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
Site and Office Meetings as needed for Project oversight and client engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree in Electrical or other Engineering is highly preferred
Formal project management (PMP) training and/ or Certification
At least five (5) years of project management experience over major capital electric utilities construction projects (substation, transmission and/ or distribution)
Telecommunications Project Management experience is welcome if this includes managing/ overseeing major electric utility projects involving substation and/ or transmission line projects.
