About the role
- Design and maintain the cloud-side ingestion engines that process telemetry and transactional data
- Develop integrations into 3rd party systems ensuring adequate abstraction layers are designed to simplify the data flow
- Work closely with other teams to support them in building our end-to-end unattended retail technology
- Practice test-driven development (TDD) and build code you can trust
- Lead by example through thorough code reviews, championing best practices
- Help onboard new developers, provide thoughtful feedback, and support the growth of team members
- Maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation for APIs, services, and architectural decisions
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience, with a strong track record of building and scaling Django based applications
- Advanced Python 3.12+, Django, and Django REST Framework experience
- Deep expertise in modern Django architecture and Python development
- Comfortable with asynchronous tasks, REST APIs, and integrations
- Proven experience building robust, idempotent cloud services that handle retries, failures, and network issues gracefully
- Proficient in PostgreSQL, with a strong understanding of efficient ORM usage and performance-aware query design
- Experience with Redis for caching and session management
- Ideally experience building and scaling cloud applications, knowledge of AWS infrastructure
- Good communication and collaboration skills
