About the role

  • Expanding IT department; role includes 3 main functions: (A) Support & Routine Operations; (B) Technical Project Management; (C) Security Assurance
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and manage staff access; use 20+ apps and systems
  • Lead IT projects to automate and improve efficiency, and enhance user-friendliness of internal systems
  • Strengthen security measures, monitor threats, update policies, provide staff training
  • Role may focus on one function based on strengths; potential supervisory path
  • Time-zone requirement: Eastern Time; remote work with defined hours
  • 3 full-time IT staff currently; reports to leadership

Requirements

  • Adaptable, fast learner; comfortable diving in and solving problems
  • Independent worker; collaborative when needed
  • Comfortable with evolving job functions and changing priorities
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interface with external parties (clients or partners)
  • Knowledge of IT security concepts is a plus
  • Preferred: 3+ years in IT management, product/project management, or software development
  • Security clearance strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with security best practices and systems compliance
  • Cybersecurity certifications (CEH, GSEC, GCFA, CISA, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, SSCP, ECSA, LPT) are a plus
