About the role
- Set up services for new clients: consult, understand needs, and coordinate a team of international bookkeepers to implement services
- Serve as high-level accounting resource to bookkeepers and manage client communication and expectations
- Supervise ongoing bookkeeping services and support bookkeepers as needed for assigned clients
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with clients and manage multiple clients concurrently
- Opportunities to specialize (service set-up only, ongoing supervision, industry specialization, controller/CFO services, management roles)
- Not responsible for tax work; not performing basic bookkeeping (supervisory role)
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Experience handling accounting for multiple companies (in-house or firm)
- Titles indicating fit: Controller, Finance Manager, Full Charge Bookkeeper, Director of Accounting, VP of Finance, CFO, Senior Accountant
- Management experience is valuable but not required
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) required
- Experience working with several clients simultaneously
- Degree in accounting common but not strictly required; CPA or ProAdvisor a plus
- Highly organized with exceptional time-management skills
- Excellent professional communication skills; perfectly fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Tech-savvy; Excel expertise preferred
- Adaptable and fast learner, comfortable solving new problems
