Avionics Design and Analysis Engineer

Engineer

• Applies basic industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements
• Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows
• Assists with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel
• Conducts process work flow design and analysis
• Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics to analyze process abnormalities and production bottlenecks
• Supports research, design, develop, improve, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization
• Documents product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices
• Supports the preparation of operations plans including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasting, capacity and constraint analysis
• Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling tools
• Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support. Able to gather and analyze the data from various sources
• Participates in Risk Management process. Able to perform Risk and Oportunity assessment and indicates correct measures
• Follows compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines
• Support efforts in the development of recovery plans including data gathering, visibility development, and monitoring status to plan

Associate Industrial Engineer

• Act as a Fixed Wing Airworthiness Certification engineer
• Coordinate, prepare, and review high-level certification documentation
• Support the up front development, interpretation, and understanding of customer type certification requirements
• Analyze and recommend certification requirements for their applicability to new products and changes to type design
• Track requirements allocation and compliance showings/findings
• Assist with the development of Test and Acceptance criteria for certification requirements
• Work with various disciplines to ensure timely completion of certification milestones
• Facilitate communication between Boeing Defence UK, the Customer and the UK Military Aviation Authority Certification Division
• Prepare responses to the Customer and the MAA
• Apply UK MAA Regulatory requirements for continued airworthiness to UK Fixed Wing programmes
• Liaise with Boeing organizational entities
• Provide full support on programme MAA audit
• Provide specialist airworthiness engineering support to new programme stand up
• Assist with airworthiness reviews of aircraft undergoing modifications
• Identify risks, issues and opportunities and assist with the development of mitigation plans
• Compile engineering estimates for the airworthiness and certification group
• Assist with engineering resource planning.
