About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop complex, multi-tiered application software systems supporting command and control of space vehicles
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle
  • Work with system and test engineers to implement, test, and document features and improvements for web services and distributed applications
  • Develop software with agile team leadership and participate in agile events and PI planning
  • Execute DevSecOps processes to deliver software baselines at sprint boundaries
  • Engage with users and engineers to resolve technical issues
  • Coordinate software product development, maintenance, enhancement, optimization, and systems integration
  • Lead architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and software design activities
  • Debug and resolve issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency
  • Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback
  • Develop and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics
  • Consult on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations
  • Translate customer requirements into initial software product designs
  • Lead software project management and supplier management activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export-control compliance
  • U.S. Citizenship required for the security clearance
  • 5+ years of experience with Java, C++, Angular/ReactJS, HTML, and CSS
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and configuration management tools
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience developing software products using Agile methodologies
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience; OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Experience with programming languages and databases
  • Experience deriving and allocating requirements and maintaining traceability throughout the product lifecycle
  • Experience with software architecture and design methodologies
  • Experience with software development processes compliant with internal and industry standards
  • Experience with implementation, validation, and verification processes
  • Completion of the required CodeVue technical assessment
  • Must meet drug-free workplace testing requirements when applicable
