About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a production team or organization integrated with the Boeing Production System
- Work within a small team of 5–10 people under the guidance of a team lead
- Complete a statement of work with milestone check-ins with the team lead and manager
- Identify ways to reduce risks and improve safety, quality, cost, and flow
- Reduce or eliminate safety and ergonomic issues
- Improve quality defect trends
- Analyze performance against daily schedules or orders
- Reduce non-value-added work
- Create and maintain operating plans, scenario plans, readiness assessments, and disruption recovery plans
- Work in a factory or on the flightline, splitting time between office and production environments
- Adhere to PPE requirements for the work area
- Collaborate with support functions and participate in intern networking and development activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to work full-time for 10–12 weeks during Summer 2027
- Currently enrolled at a college or university
- Expected graduation date on or after August 2027
- Major in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Operations, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Programming, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
- GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
- Previous internships, work experience, or involvement with student or civic organizations preferred
- Passion for the aerospace industry and interest in a career with Boeing preferred
- Ability to relocate and work onsite preferred
- Project management, data analysis, supply chain management, information technology, SQL/programming, or related skills preferred
- Must satisfy US Person export-control requirements
- Employer will not sponsor employment visa status
- Ability to adhere to PPE requirements
- Some positions may require access to a NASA facility
- Some positions may be safety sensitive and subject to random drug and alcohol testing
