About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and validate complex weight, balance, and mass properties data for aerospace vehicle design and performance
- Estimate, measure, and verify mass, weight, stiffness, and inertial properties of aerospace components and systems
- Define design requirements and maintain weight and balance accounting systems
- Generate detailed reports for internal and customer use
- Lead weight control efforts and advise on vehicle/system configurations affecting mass properties
- Collaborate with flight systems engineering and cross-functional teams on customer specifications and program objectives
- Implement process improvements and advanced tools to enhance weight analysis capabilities
- Communicate technical information and operate under general direction with focus on safety, quality, and business objectives
- Travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or directly related non-US equivalent qualification
- 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years with a Master’s degree, or work-related experience with a PhD
- 3+ years of Mass Properties experience
- Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications such as NX, CATIA, or CADD
- Experience with three-dimensional parametric modeling using NX/Teamcenter or CATIA/ENOVIA methods and tools
- Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements and qualify as a U.S. Person
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required for the clearance
- Must be able to obtain program access requiring U.S. Citizenship
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Must comply with post-offer drug testing when applicable
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Hazelwood or Berkeley, Missouri
- Travel up to 10% domestically and/or internationally may be required
