About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead recruiting activities including maintaining job requisitions, participating in hiring events, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations while building a strong verification organization
  • Drive successful execution across assigned programs by proactively identifying technical, schedule, and staffing risks, removing obstacles, coordinating resources, and promoting accountability
  • Promote engineering excellence through sound verification practices, technical reviews, mentoring, and collaboration with technical experts and engineering leaders
  • Coach engineers in their technical and professional growth, conduct performance and career discussions, recognize outstanding contributors and emerging leaders, and support employees requiring additional development
  • Partner effectively with ASIC design, FPGA design, systems engineering, software engineering, program management, chief engineers, and functional leadership to successfully deliver complex products
  • Champion improvements to engineering processes, onboarding, documentation, communication, metrics, and organizational effectiveness
  • Ensure engineers have the tools, resources, access, approvals, and environment needed to perform at their highest level

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of relevant ASIC and/or FPGA engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • Strong background in ASIC and/or FPGA digital design, verification, or both, with an understanding of the product development lifecycle
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
