About the role
- Supporting the program manager responsible for leading logistics and sustainment activities
- Developing short and long term logistics plans for consumables, spares, hardware refurbishment, factory ground support equipment and training across Boeing and supplier work scope
- Forecasting the annual sustainment budgets across Boeing and suppliers
- Developing annual cost proposals, and then detailed allocations, tracking expenditures across Boeing and suppliers, and management of reserves
- Leading development of the program architecture and top level plans for a program
- Developing program organizational, work structures, top level program and execution plans
- Identifying key program level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between major activities, teams, suppliers, partners and customers
- Facilitating the resolution of program issues
- Supporting the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics
- Integrating the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices
- Implementing customer and program communication and contact plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- More than 5 years of experience in engineering project planning or project management
- More than 5 years of experience leading or managing integrated technical projects or teams across multiple organizations
- Active Tier 5 (formerly SSBI) U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience in Satellite or Space Programs (preferred)
- Experience with system integration (hardware, firmware, software) (preferred)
- Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices (preferred)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers (preferred)
- Experience working with suppliers (preferred)
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership (preferred)
- Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives (preferred)
