About the role
- Manages all aspects of a Linux environment, including scripting
- Analyzes computing requirements
- Leads a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
- Leads activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components
- Leads activities to plan, develop, design, and integrate all computer applications
- Plans and coordinates highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release
- Ensures systems conform to architectural objectives
- Evaluates complex system's production readiness and supportability
- Performs the restoration of complex computing service operations
- Performs complex system problem identification and resolution
- Leads activities to integrate security solutions into information systems
- Develops project plans for the implementation of Linux systems into a computing environment
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Security+, a CISSP certification or equivalent Cyber Security certification within 6 months of employment in this role
- 3+ years of experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
- 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for RHEL 6 or higher
- 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Windows 7 or higher
