About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develops, integrates, and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish overall system design
- Creates, maintains, and updates structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3‑D CAD tools and other design methods to provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and customers
- Performs and integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Manages supplier development, test, and production activities; coordinate with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program goals
- Develops and improves design/analysis processes and tools to increase effectiveness, quality, and efficiency
- Investigates emerging technologies to propose concepts for future product designs that meet projected requirements
- Prepares and reviews technical data, engineering releases, and compliance summary reports supporting installation and certification
- Works under general direction and collaborate across multi‑discipline teams to deliver on program objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
- 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with payloads engineering releases and configuration management processes (preferred)
- Experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, DCCS, and REDARS (preferred)
- Experience reviewing technical documentation and authoring technical deliverables (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to collaborate across teams (preferred)
