Key responsibilities & impact

Analyzes steady-state engine performance and detailed thermodynamic cycle data
Assesses engine operation across various conditions and certifies operating characteristics
Analyzes and communicates engine performance impacts on airplane subsystem performance
Collaborates with disciplines across the airplane to provide engine performance expertise
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and contributes to certification documentation
Conducts data analysis and risk assessments for flight tests
Coordinates with engine suppliers on engine/airplane performance throughout an airplane program's lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
1+ years experience in propulsion and thermodynamics
Foundational knowledge of gas turbine engine operation and thermodynamics
Experience with engine performance modeling tools & methods
Proficiency with Linux/Unix computing systems and shell scripting
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for engine and airplane certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
