About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, coach, and manage a team of Software Quality Engineers supporting multiple BDS programs
Own hiring, performance development, and career progression
Translate program technical and contractual requirements into SQE priorities and deliverables
Align SQE execution with program schedules and budgets
Define and implement SQE processes, checklists, and metrics to verify software compliance, reliability, and safety on assigned programs
Provide approval and oversight of technical approaches, software verification strategies, and software quality artifacts
Coordinate supplier SQE activities; provide technical direction and assess supplier deliverables for quality and conformance
Identify and drive continuous process improvements (root-cause analysis, lessons learned, defect reduction)
Maintain productive relationships with customers, stakeholders, program managers, and cross-functional teams; escalate and resolve elevated SQE issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

at least one year of experience in a leadership role
Bachelor's degree or higher
5+ years of experience supporting software development programs
1+ year of experience supporting software quality engineering with AS9115 and/or DO-178 requirements
1+ year of experience working with program leadership to prioritize and resolve technical quality issues
