About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Shape high-level supplier engagement strategies and teaming arrangements
Architect a comprehensive, BDS-level overview of the category landscape
Lead the end-to-end development of the Supply Chain Architecture for major new defense programs
Drive proactive Supply Chain Risk Mitigation (SCRM) strategic planning
Generate data-driven Supplier Assessment Reports focusing on geopolitical vulnerabilities
Oversee the data integrity, regular updates, and long-term maintenance of the Recommended Bidder Identification tool
Partner closely with Government Operations (GovOps) and the BDS Law Department

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field
More than 5 years of experience in supply chain strategy, strategic sourcing, or procurement—ideally within the aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated heavy industry
Experience with production program oversight, supplier management, and risk management
Experience in performing competitive market analysis
Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills are required
Experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools and applications (such as IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics)
