About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for electronic products
  • Develops high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
  • Validates designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis
  • Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Supports Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope
  • Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
  • Works under general direction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications
  • Associate Level 2: Typically, 2 or more years' related work experience
  • Experienced Level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience
  • Previous Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) experience (preferred)
  • Previous Global Positioning System (GPS) data receiver/processor design experience (preferred)
  • Previous data encryption algorithm design experience (preferred)
  • Previous Radio Frequency (RF) system design experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another (preferred)
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience and/or certifications (preferred)
  • Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance
