Key responsibilities & impact

Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for electronic products
Develops high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
Validates designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis
Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements
Supports Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope
Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Works under general direction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications
Associate Level 2: Typically, 2 or more years' related work experience
Experienced Level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience
Previous Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) experience (preferred)
Previous Global Positioning System (GPS) data receiver/processor design experience (preferred)
Previous data encryption algorithm design experience (preferred)
Previous Radio Frequency (RF) system design experience (preferred)
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (preferred)
Knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another (preferred)
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience and/or certifications (preferred)
Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance
