Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supports the design, architecture, and development of simulation models
  • Supports partnership with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements
  • Contributes to data collection and processing for use in simulations
  • Supports validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software code
  • Contributes to documenting and maintaining technical code, algorithms, specifications
  • Supports partnership with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Supports implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods
  • Contributes to simulation software project management functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • 2+ years of experience developing software using C++
  • 2+ years of experience with software development on Windows or Linux
  • Level 2: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance & Special Program Access
  • 2 years of experience using standard Software Development and Configuration Management tools such as Jira, Git, Bitbucket, VersionOne/Agility, GNAT Pro, GLStudio, MS Visual Studio
  • Experience developing in C#, Ada, Fortran, OpenGL, Python, and Qt
  • Experience in Unity game engine and scripting.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, including weapons, night vision system, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, flight controls, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture, including the different types of clouds (public, private, and hybrid)
  • Ability to automate and script skills.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies
  • Knowledge of understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and security
  • Ability to perform Application Programming Interface (API) design, implementation, and testing.
  • Knowledge of real-time software architecture and design methodologies
  • Knowledge of build and execution environments
  • Ability to design and develop software testing processes
