About the role

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build
  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems
  • Implements lean principles and technologies
  • Position expected to be 100% onsite at listed location options (Hazelwood, MO or Mesa, AZ)

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science OR equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 5+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Preferred: Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Experience with AS6500 methods and procedures
  • Experience conducting internal and external (supplier) audits
  • Experience with First Part Qualifications (FPQ), First Article Inspections (FAI) and/or Supplier or Processor Qualifications
  • Experience with Manufacturing Maturation Plans (MMP)
  • Experience performing Manufacturing Readiness Level Assessments (MRA)
  • Working knowledge of composite and/or metallic aircraft structure fabrication and assembly techniques
  • Experience conducting PFMEA and APQP analysis
  • Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) best practices
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start) — U.S. Citizenship required for clearance and program access
  • Export control compliance: must meet definition of “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
