About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead one of our Puget Sound Teams
  • Provide certification guidance and direction to airplane programs
  • Interface with program engineers/leaders, and domestic/international regulatory authorities
  • Navigate complex regulatory processes and landscapes while providing guidance to a network of stakeholders across all levels of management and non-management
  • Coordinate and convey certification strategies, objectives and status to the Federal Aviation Administration and Civil Aviation Authorities
  • Support employee development strategies and organizational endeavors related to enhancing employee engagement, influence and expertise
  • Ensure ODA unit members are supported and have the time and independence necessary to carry out their regulatory responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Collaborate with program leaders to strategize and implement compliance measures, while also developing strong risk mitigation plans as necessary
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholders are aware of program/project priorities and progress-to-plan
  • Support the review of Applicant certification proposals and address related inquiries
  • Prepare/Facilitate discussions with program leaders and government officials
  • Ensure ODA objectives and procedures are understood, followed, and implemented across the value stream
  • Manage budgets, headcounts and staffing strategies
  • Coordinate with SoCal and Charleston to ensure common geographic approaches

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of experience with regulatory requirements
  • 2+ years of experience integrating cross functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience with project management and the ability to self-manage projects
