Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead one of our Puget Sound Teams
- Provide certification guidance and direction to airplane programs
- Interface with program engineers/leaders, and domestic/international regulatory authorities
- Navigate complex regulatory processes and landscapes while providing guidance to a network of stakeholders across all levels of management and non-management
- Coordinate and convey certification strategies, objectives and status to the Federal Aviation Administration and Civil Aviation Authorities
- Support employee development strategies and organizational endeavors related to enhancing employee engagement, influence and expertise
- Ensure ODA unit members are supported and have the time and independence necessary to carry out their regulatory responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Collaborate with program leaders to strategize and implement compliance measures, while also developing strong risk mitigation plans as necessary
- Ensure internal and external stakeholders are aware of program/project priorities and progress-to-plan
- Support the review of Applicant certification proposals and address related inquiries
- Prepare/Facilitate discussions with program leaders and government officials
- Ensure ODA objectives and procedures are understood, followed, and implemented across the value stream
- Manage budgets, headcounts and staffing strategies
- Coordinate with SoCal and Charleston to ensure common geographic approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 2+ years of experience with regulatory requirements
- 2+ years of experience integrating cross functional teams
- 3+ years of experience with project management and the ability to self-manage projects
