About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Actively participate in program activities, from initial proposal through planning, verification, certification and delivery
  • Act as an independent set of eyes and ears for Program Managers and the customer, highlighting potential best practices on the team, as well as areas for improvement
  • Coordinates support across SQEs supporting a program to ensure SQE commitments are met
  • Verifies software lifecycle activities and products comply with approved software processes, plans, and standards
  • Identifies process or product non-compliances; supports root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions and other defect investigation/prevention activities
  • Teams with equipment managers of supplier products to evaluate supplier software development performance
  • Identify and analyze program/project software quality metrics to improve software quality and manage risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 2+ years of software quality engineering experience supporting software with AS9115, DO-178, and/or MIL-STD-882E requirements (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience with Software Development Processes (preferred)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and associated tools (preferred)
  • Experience with Project Management of products developed using Agile software development practices and tools (JIRA) (preferred)
