About the role
- Serve as a subject matter expert providing hands-on coaching and mentorship to engineering teams on engineering processes, tools, and technologies
- Develop detailed JobAids type learning solutions
- Assess team capabilities and identify skill gaps; develop tailored training artifacts
- Facilitate workshops and On the Job Training (OJT) sessions to enhance technical knowledge and proficiency
- Collaborate with engineering leaders, development teams, tool vendors, and support teams to align coaching with program/project goals
- Promote best practices in engineering processes and ensure compliance with business standards and regulations
- Collect, analyze, and validate engineering performance metrics to measure coaching effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Test current and updated processes on current and new technologies supporting major software deployments in Production
- Create and deliver targeted OJT learning solutions that facilitate real-time adoption and application of enhanced practices
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning techniques
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to ensure effective application of engineering processes and tools
- Position requires working on-site at one of the listed locations (Everett, WA or Renton, WA)
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher
- 5+ years of related experience
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, design methodologies and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes
- Proficient in CADCAM/PLM and simulation tools used for engineering definition and management
- Proficient with tools such as CATIA V5, ENOVIA, DELMIA, DMU, 3DX, Teamcenter
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills, with a focus on developing technical competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to technical challenges
- Experience in facilitating technical training sessions and workshops
- Strong ability to effectively communicate ideas and information through multimedia presentations
- Proficient in creating engaging presentations using software such as PowerPoint, including videos
- Preferred: Experience with Web Design and Development tools
- Export control compliance: must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
