Key responsibilities & impact

Provides materials and process support to Boeing Commercial Airplane programs throughout the full life cycle of the airplane
Definition of metallic materials and process requirements used in engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products
Reviews metallic materials and process specifications and engineering documents
Approves test reports and manufacturing planning used to qualify suppliers for metallic aircraft parts
Identifying impacts of non-conformances and corrective/preventative actions
Conducts engineering lab / failure analysis to determine cause and corrective action
Leads evaluation of emerging technologies for application to future BCA products
Collaborates with multiple engineering teams to solve materials and process challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of relevant technical experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing industries
2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in Materials & Process Engineering
Airplane program experience
Strong communication skills
Relevant technical experience in Metallic Materials processes and manufacturing
Conflict of Interest assessment process
