About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides materials and process support to Boeing Commercial Airplane programs throughout the full life cycle of the airplane
  • Definition of metallic materials and process requirements used in engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products
  • Reviews metallic materials and process specifications and engineering documents
  • Approves test reports and manufacturing planning used to qualify suppliers for metallic aircraft parts
  • Identifying impacts of non-conformances and corrective/preventative actions
  • Conducts engineering lab / failure analysis to determine cause and corrective action
  • Leads evaluation of emerging technologies for application to future BCA products
  • Collaborates with multiple engineering teams to solve materials and process challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of relevant technical experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing industries
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in Materials & Process Engineering
  • Airplane program experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Relevant technical experience in Metallic Materials processes and manufacturing
  • Conflict of Interest assessment process
