About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform as subject matter expert (SME) to identify and evaluate aircraft design changes related to maintenance
- Conduct analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design
- Research and evaluate system designs using specification documents, system schematic and wiring diagrams
- Analyze engineering source data to determine airplane configuration, modifications and changes
- Support 747-8I derivative Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to develop and update maintenance courseware and provide SME support to aircrew training, engineering, and technical publication teams
- Develop and conduct/instruct 747-8I derivativeType-1 training in accordance with USAF Instructional System Design procedures and Air Mobility Concept of Operations
- Use specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience working on Avionics systems
- 3+ years of experience working with FAA and or Military type certification requirements
- 3+ years of experience with technical data and publications for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
- Understands FAA requirements on Aircraft Maintenance/Technical Publications Data
- Proficiency in using Commercial ATA specification and mil-specs as they relate to Technical Publication and maintenance data
- Maintenance training experience on Boeing C-17, KC-46, 747, 747-8I, and/or 7X7 derivative highly desired
- Airframe & Power plant or FCC License highly desired
- C-17 Maintenance experience
- Prefer computer skill proficiency, including but not limited to: aircraft-related systems, and proprietary software systems (for example, FASTR, REDARS, Equipment Manager, CACTUS, CAMA)
- Prefer a proficiency in REDARS; researching parts, assemblies e.g., interchangeability, effectivity, technical drawing clarification, product revisions, accurate parts listing by researching engineering drawings, technical publications and other technical documents
