About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support daily, monthly and quarterly finance operations for Global Technology research and development and engineering centers in various countries
- Coordinate with local regional finance centers and U.S. teams to verify accounting cost transfers
- Prepare R&D portfolio reporting for local and U.S. stakeholders
- Support Overhead and project management costing
- Support forecasting, opportunities and risks reporting, and headcount reporting
- Provide support for Long Range Business Plan and rate development
- Support cost match capture, execution, reporting, and audits
- Collect cost match documentation in coordination with Boeing HR Services, Accounting, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, and funding bodies in country
- Liaise with teams collecting labour costs for publicly funded projects
- Coordinate with Contracts on price estimates for proposals
- Liaise with Global HR Services to obtain information required for audits
- Liaise with Payroll to obtain supporting documentation for audits
- Coordinate with Contracts and submit justification costs to the relevant administrations when due using all information collected on a monthly basis
- Lead substantiation of project audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highly experienced business or finance professional with 5+ years of experience in a multinational and fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting operations, functions, and processes
- Experience interacting with internal and external audit teams and supporting audit substantiation
- Experience with local government external funding project reporting and auditing
- Experience leading business transformation processes, new system implementations, integrations, and process improvements
- Experience leading activities across more than one discipline within Administrative and Finance Services
- Detailed understanding of internal financial control standards
- Ability to articulate and document key accounting processes and controls clearly and concisely
- Strong interpersonal skills, including training and coaching
- Intermediate or advance Excel knowledge
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity as the foundation of the Company’s success, reputation, and sustainable growth
