About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with multi-discipline teams to develop mechanical subsystem and payload integration product definition including layouts, detail part definition, and installation datasets.
- Perform trade studies to identify and evaluate multiple potential design and build options.
- Support part fabrication and procurement, and on-vehicle installation and test.
- Work with suppliers to define, develop and qualify mechanical, thermal and propulsion system components.
- Develop engineering dispositions to hardware non-conformances and anomalies.
- Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
- Working with team leads to define project plans and provide regular progress updates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- Experienced, Level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
- Senior, Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
- Experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages – UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
