About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the labor relations costing model and costing process
  • Shape the strategic process of calculating the total financial cost of labor agreements
  • Partner with labor relations and total rewards stakeholders throughout the negotiations lifecycle
  • Support the preparation of the economic strategy before bargaining
  • Travel for on-site support and rapidly model scenarios during the negotiation process
  • Provide key insights upon the conclusion of negotiations
  • Continuously improve and refine the costing model and contingency planning models
  • Gather, integrate, and analyze data from various teams
  • Communicate results to facilitate key decisions before, during, and after union negotiations
  • Design and deliver executive-level presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Identify potential issues that could impact the business and provide solutions and recommendations
  • Engage in additional labor relations activities as needed to support the enterprise LR function
  • Support other key initiatives or special projects within the Labor organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience with collecting and interpreting data
  • 5+ years of experience with performing data manipulation of data within Excel (e.g. develop and input formulas, calculate values from a dataset)
  • Willing and capable to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Executive-level presentation development and delivery using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Level 5: 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience within Human Resources (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred)
  • Human Resources certification (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders (preferred)
  • Experience in a role that required organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, facilitate, and orchestrate multiple actions (preferred)
  • Experience working independently and with a team (preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (preferred)
  • Experience with legal, skill teams, unions, recruiting, strategic workforce planning, talent management, compensation, payroll, H.R. metrics/analytics and labor relations (preferred)
