About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct stress analyses of aircraft primary structure using well defined analysis tools
- Review and approve repair structural integrity through analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools to develop and maintain the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Supports in-service issue investigations and proposes retrofit solutions
- Support Technical Review Boards and as a Structural Analysis Lead
- Provide leadership and technical oversight to other Structural Analysis Engineers
- Supports BCF modification Installation Deviation Requests with real-time support
- Works under minimal direction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 9+ years’ experience in structural analysis (Level 4)
- Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structure (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, and repair techniques)
- Experience with structural design principles for repair and maintenance (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques)
- Experience with Retrofit, Repairs, Modifications, and Maintenance
- Experience working in a role requiring detailed documentation of technical requirements
- Experience in role that required leadership in structural analysis
- Experience with and understanding detailed engineering requirements
