About the role
- Lead Preventive Quality projects in the supply base including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and associated processes per the requirements of AS9145.
- Leads stakeholders in analysis of product & process data, develop and implement preventive actions to ensure delivery of products that meet customer requirements.
- Document work status and effectively communicate project status to management and key stakeholders.
- Advise management and intercompany cross functional teams of risk to program schedule and deliverables.
- Contribute to the development and continual improvement of associated processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years’ experience in the application / deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or AS9145 within organizations
- 3+ years’ experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
- 5+ years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing/quality field (quality engineering, industrial engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering)
- Experience implementing APQP within the aerospace and defense industry
- Experience leading a multi-disciplined teams including internal customers and suppliers
- Experience working with Quality Standards in the Aviation Industry such as AS9100, AS6500
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and have the use of a personal vehicle to travel for business reasons to meet suppliers
- Ability to travel up to 40% to supplier sites and Boeing facilities
