About the role

  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets data.
  • Provides feedback on assessment results.
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans, and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes.
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
  • Serves as the on-floor electrical subject matter expert (SME) providing hands-on coaching, troubleshooting mentorship, and just-in-time guidance.
  • Observes technicians during electrical system tasks to identify skill gaps, unsafe practices, and opportunities to improve workmanship and first-time quality.
  • Provides targeted, task-level coaching on fault isolation and testing techniques.
  • Partners with quality, safety, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Captures and shares lessons learned and troubleshooting techniques to reduce repeat defects.
  • Participates in root cause investigations for recurring electrical issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly installation
  • 1+ years of experience in Fiber power meters, Optical time domain reflectometers, and fiber optic cabling
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources
  • 5+ years of experience with avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting fault isolate complex electronics systems
  • 5+ years of experience with wire harness repair
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting, routing, splicing, connectors, bundle dressing, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical and/or instrumentation test equipment
