About the role

  • Utilize specialized experience with Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) automation to guide product vision to meet current and future inspection needs
  • Contribute to business development opportunities by presenting capabilities and bespoke NDI solutions to potential customers, including automation machines and tooling
  • Manage the AUSS statement of work throughout the lifecycle, from proposal to delivery
  • Manage customer deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, opportunities, and monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned
  • Support research and development technology investments and utilize NDI knowledge to provide technical direction and guidance regarding approved processes, plans, tools, technology, and skills
  • Maintain a strong network of contacts with Boeing business units, customers, suppliers, and competitors to keep the team connected to the pulse of the NDI industry
  • Travel to customer sites across US and international to support system-level integration, commissioning, debugging, and sustainment activities
  • Provide customer site calibration and verification support for NDI equipment and data-acquisition systems, ensuring measurement traceability, compliance with applicable standards, and readiness for lab and production system deployment
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical-mechanical systems in multi-disciplinary integration environments
  • Solicit and refine process improvements to improve product quality and efficiency
  • Effectively communicate complex technical issues to product team, leadership, and customers
  • Utilize strong business acumen to represent Boeing and its products to customers
  • Perform efficiently in a fast-paced, challenging, and diverse work environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years’ experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for 20% of the time
